Do I have to renew?
No. You pay once and the name is yours until you transfer it. No yearly bill, no surprise expiry.
Why do short names cost more?
There are only so many three- and four-letter names, and squatters love them. A higher price keeps a few wallets from hoarding the whole alphabet. Everything five characters and up stays cheap.
What about one- and two-character names?
Held back for now. They'll be released later in a fair way, so bots don't take them all in the first block.
Where does the money go?
Registration fees go to the TrashID treasury and pay for building and running the service: hosting, audits and new features.
Is anything else charged?
Only the normal Gorbagana network fee and the rent for the name's account, a fraction of a GOR. Editing your profile, setting a primary name and transfers cost just the network fee.
